Ski Saturday, dinner with strangers who became friends, ski Sunday. That is the whole point.
We showed up with bags. The cots were made. Rainier was right there.
Gondola in the morning. Warm tent at dark. We did not unpack a stove once.
Heat at 10pm after a wet trail. The tent was already standing.
